Phu Hoang is chief executive officer and founder of Virtium Technology. Phu came to North America in 1983 as an immigrant from Vietnam. He started his career as a design engineer designing computer telecommunication products. Phu is an inventor and hold various US patents.
Phu founded Virtium Technology in 1997 after spending a decade in corporate management positions. Within six years, Phu grew Virtium to become one of Inc. Magazine’s 500 fastest-growing companies in the U.S., while maintaining a balanced family life. Phu’s beliefs and character are reflected in the values of his organization encouraging family-work balance. Phu holds a MBA degree from Northern Illinois University, USA and a BSCE degree from University of Waterloo, Canada.
Phu is also a founder of SAVICE, a non-profit charity organization, http://www.savice.org, to contribute to the future of Vietnamese children through education.
His passions include coaching and helping entrepreneurs become successful in their business and careers. His trainings extend beyond various areas of corporate functions such as marketing, sales, R&D, operations mergers/acquisitions and financial management. Phu’s areas of training and practice include life/work balance and people’s leadership development.
In 2017, Phu was honored as an Orange County’s Innovator of the Year by OC Business Journal. In 2014, Phu was the winner of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in Orange County. In 2013, Phu was selected as a winner of the Orange County Business Journal’s Excellence in Entrepreneurship Awards. In 2008, Phu was honored as an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist in Orange County, California.
